Capacity Building Approach

USAID-GEMS is a five-year technical assistance project to support the Government of Liberia to improve service delivery to the Liberian people. 

 

Guided by Liberia's development priorities, USAID-GEMS objectives are aligned with the priorities President Johnson-Sirleaf set forth in her 2012 State of the Nation Address:

 

  • Managing national resources effectively

  • Building national wealth

  • Promoting equity and youth empowermeny

Support to GOL counterparts is guided by the USAID Human and Institutional Capacity Development approach, as depicted below:
